Per ANN, it's going to be an anthology novel, The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya, which will come out the day before Thanksgiving (November 25), same as in Japan.  You didn't have anything better to do during Thanksgiving, right?

Ten Years of The Twelve Kingdoms: The Epic Rewatch

Today happens to be the tenth anniversary of The Twelve Kingdoms anime, which debuted in Japan on April 9, 2002.

Much as we did with Planetes in 2008, we're going to be doing an epic rewatch of The Twelve Kingdoms. Watch one episode of The Twelve Kingdoms -- just one, no skipping ahead! -- in the original air order on the original weeks. This might be harder for people because not only are there 45 episodes of The Twelve Kingdoms, but the series went through multiple hiatuses. Our task will actually not be done until August 2013--nearly fifteen months from now!

Like the Planetes rewatch, we've got a blog going at To Ascend Hohzan. It's a little rough at the moment, but we promise that it'll be sharper soon. And just in time is the Twelve Kingdoms rerelease on blu-ray, which for those of you with the appropriate hardware, will be an awesome way to watch the show.

So dig out your old DD's or new bluray's, and don't forget your novels too! Episode 1 is this week starting today through Sunday, and episode 2 will be on next week. And try not to kill me when you realize that the next episode is a week away!
