In addition, Viz Media has sent out their own press release regarding their being named as the master licensor for all things Bleach which means lots of possibilities in the merchandising arena as well as broadcast and home video.

Now I have all the more reason to keep beating my friend to get me more bleach so I can understand your little joke there. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that a group will keep subbing and also that it doesn't get completely screwed over like Naruto, (ie. massive waves of Bleach/Naru-tards)

Well we knew it was going to happen at some point; it's kind of surprising it took this long for it to get licensed (72 episodes).
I will express the opinion that currently the story quality has slipped some, so it's not as bad as it could be.

The 'narutards' have been around since before the US TV broadcast, but they defiantly increased in numbers since.
Speaking of which, the other day (over the break) Andy was back visiting high school buddies... a guy walks by and has a Naruto jacket. Now its almost identical, maybe for a cheap cosplay, but its got NA-RU-TO in huge characters across the front.

Thats true, when the license wasn't snatched up immediately, I switched into blissfully ignorant mode. ;)
So Vis grabs it right before the quality/interest starts to drop-off to quickly in this arch. Heh.

Some have said that it should have 'ended here', 'ended there', well I haven't read the manga, but I'm still waiting on a comeback. The studios such as Pierrot have done well thus far, thought pierrot has their fingers in Naruto, Supper Milk-chan, and Blood+ so I couldn't say, depends more on the manga, Masashi, and the guys on the script.
That and who gets the US broadcast license, cross your fingers, 4kids got the broadcast for Onepiece, while Vis was distributor. O_O
Not worth worrying about to too much of an extent. I’ll just wait and see.

UPDATE:
I can verify that Lunar has infact droped Bleach.
D*, H*lfan* and others seem to still be going at it.
Just wanted to drop the message if anyone is unawarze.
