For Rizumu - Re: Indian Translations

In reference to a post on Rizumu's blog, I'll provide my response here where it can be more easily presented (as opposed to in comments).

While I can't claim this isn't completely out of character, it's out of character to point out such things. This post does not necessary represent the warped views and opinions of the blog that is World of Wabasco. Beware, there be questionable lyrics ahead.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, on to the content!

Speaking of re-interpreted lyrics...

Ghost in the Shell - Re-interpreted Lyrics

TMSTKSBK loves it when I sneak this into a shorten my url service: (page contains music) 'Inner Universe' interpretation (ytmnd link) >:D

Evangelion - Re-interpreted Lyrics

Also, while on the topic - I swear there's a line in the Neon Genesis Evangelion opening that ALWAYS sounds dirty to me. It's been haunting me for years.

Read the lyrics below, then click play and read along.

Prepare for it around 1:15-1:17 and you'll hear it right after that:

Re-interpreted:
zankoku na tenshi no TE-ZE
madobe kara yagate tobitatsu
hotobashiru atsui PATOSU de[3]
omoide wo uragiru nara
...
The cruel angel's thesis
will soon take flight through the window,
why-don't you eat my p|_|$$y, ne?/hey!/day
if you betray your memories.
...
[3] "Atsui" (hot) can also mean "intense, passionate." "Pathos" is "the quality or power in life or art of evoking a feeling of pity or compassion; pity; suffering; sorrow."

It doesn't look too far off to me.

Maybe we should run with it?

Original:

zankoku na tenshi no TE-ZE
madobe kara yagate tobitatsu
hotobashiru atsui PATOSU de[3]
omoide wo uragiru nara
kono sora wo daite kagayaku[4]
shounen yo shinwa ni nare
The cruel angel's thesis
will soon take flight through the window,
with surging, hot pathos, [3]
if you betray your memories.
Embracing this sky [universe] and shining, [4]
young boy, become the legend!
[3] "Atsui" (hot) can also mean "intense, passionate." "Pathos" is "the quality or power in life or art of evoking a feeling of pity or compassion; pity; suffering; sorrow."
[4] "Sora" (sky) is the reading given for the kanji for "uchuu" (universe).

You will now suffer as I do when that lyric is sung. Enjoy.

Also, *ahem*

  • I really could have gone without knowing any of that...

  • Yeaaah, sorry about that. Had to get it out of the ways since it seemed like a relevant response, and it gave me the opportunity to remind TMSTKSBK of the horror that is re-intrepreted gits-sac lyrics. (Which he cannot un-hear.) :3

Don't worry, I no intentions to expand upon the eva ones. >_>
