Anime - Higurashi Kai
So, episode one of
I greatly enjoyed the first season's OP, and was eagerly looking forward to how the second season's OP would be done.
I have to admit I'm not liking it, but maybe it will grow on me. Even though it was clever that when played backwards it sounds like the first season's OP and interesting in parts (Wah?... don't look at me like that o_o; It sounded familiar... ), the composition and the overall editing did not impress me.
As for the episode content, its looking pretty good. Again (as Washi did), it recently made me say:
'Oh! LOL That reminds me! I still need to whip up that Hinamizawa Travel Brochure!'
(I haven't dedicated time and energy to it because I wasn't sure of how many of you follow or are familiar with Higurashi.)
* Not Renna? No, heres the predicament:
That moe-tan ‘Rena’ parody image is indeed a cross of Rena and a ‘moe-tan character’, but as far as I know Rena’s seiyuu isn’t part of the moe-tan cast. (I'm pretty sure.)
However.. Higurashi’s seiyuu for Rika does Ink-tan's (transformed and normal voices). The voices on the comiket CDs for Ink-tan defiantly sound like Rika (her seiyuu that is). It looks like they kept Ink-tan’s seiyuu the same for the moe-tan anime. (I guess now that its out it would be easy to check.)
Rena was chosen for aesthetic reasons (the effect of the blade, etc) and for being an easier crossover/match (for artistic reasons as well as better recognition).
(Oh, and this wasn't the seiyuu relation that I was talking about eairler.)
