Am I about to spend a wonderful weekend reinstalling Windows?....
When I started up my system this morning, before reaching the logon screen, I got the wonderful Blue Screen of Death. But instead of the problem vanishing on restart, it continues. And of course the bad news is that the more I look, the more I don't know.... Pretty much the only good news is that I can boot up in safe mode with networking.
I'm still doing a small amount of forensics, but I fear that the solution is going to be to reinstall Windows.
In case of any of you all have any ideas, here are the pertinent details of the terse message:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x00000080 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has shut down.
Looks like I get to workaround the Windows problem for at least a month until I get a chance to reinstall (or maybe I get lucky!).

Its probably in one of the startup programs, depending on when thats happening...
Got system restore points? Might try that before reinstalling. I broke some drivers in system32 once, couldn't even start safemode. Fixable through a system restore. But you probably tried that already.
Any luck yet?
